What is the “Pop”?
Popcorn Culture, also known as the Pop, is a podcast hosted by Ben (Buzzy B) and (Jazzy) J Carlin who are best known for their fandom-related content on their YouTube channel: Super Carlin Brothers. The Pop covers pop-ics anywhere from their camping or childhood stories, fun facts about coyotes and Abraham Lincoln, psychology, and more! Tune into the Pop every Friday!
What is this site, Little Kernels?
Little Kernels was created as a place to gather more information from the listeners/viewers of Popcorn Culture in a more centralized space. Uploaders often have multiple communication channels, which can make it hard to get a clear picture of what interests their audience.
What is a “Little Kernel”?
If you are a new listener/follower of Popcorn Culture, then congratulations! You are a little kernel! The origin of the term comes from the early days of the Pop, episode 3 to be specific. Remember J’s BEEF with Big Chicken? I like to think the followers of Popcorn Culture, or little kernels, successfully took down Big Chicken’s use of the Popcorn Culture hashtag.
Is this site run by Ben and J?
Little Kernels is not an official site, and is not affiliated with Popcorn Culture. It was created by a fellow little kernel as a personal project (I am waving, but you can’t see me). As someone who is a big fan of the Super Carlin Brothers and data, I saw a need that could potentially be filled with a website. That’s where the other little kernels come in. Let me know if I should continue embracing my spikes by contributing to the project.
